Behind the place

Tallow Kitchen is a small chicken cafe on a quiet Sydney road, run by a kitchen team that believes fewer dishes done properly beat a long menu done in a hurry.

Every bird goes through the same oven, the same rest, the same finish. The sides change with the season, but the method never does.

We're open early for the coffee crowd and stay busy through lunch, closing whenever the last bird runs out, sometimes sooner than we'd like.
